Nuovi Chip per i prossimi modelli Samsung?

Con il nuovo Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6, Samsung sarebbe in procinto di adottare un nuovo chip, il SoC Exynos 5250 dual core che promette prestazioni davvero invidiabili. Il processore è basato su l' architettura ARM cortex A15 che raggiungerebbe la frequenza di ben 2 GHz. Grazie a queste caratteristiche i consumi sarebbero davvero ridotti e le prestazioni elevatissime.

Anche la GPU sarebbe aumentata, lavorando a 2.1 Gigapixel al secondo. Risulta adatta quindi a schermi con risoluzioni elevatissime, tipo lo schermo de "The New iPad".

Apple testa chip LTE per il nuovo iPhone

In questo periodo Apple è sempre più al lavoro su un nuovo smartphone, il tanto atteso iPhone 5, che, a par loro, dovrebbe essere qualcosa di rivoluzionario, testando dei chip basati sulla tecnologia LTE di Qualcomm,tra i quali l' "MDM9615". Il nuovo iPhone quindi dovrebbe essere appieno compatibile con la tecnologia 4G LTE, che, attualmente, in Italia e nel resto dell' Europa non è ancora in uso.

Apple però sta testando anche altri chip di altri fornitori quali Skywords solutions, TriQuint semiconductor e Avago technologies.

Linux Kernel 3.3, Android torna alle origini

Grazie all' ultimo kernel rilasciato da parte di Ubuntu, stiamo parlando del Kernel 3.3, il codice Android è stato ampiamente incorporato aumentando così la compatibilità tra i due "ambienti". Questo segna una nuova strada, dato che le applicazioni scaricate per Android, potranno, in futuro essere utilizzate anche sullo stesso Ubuntu. Logico è il fatto che migliorie ingenti saranno apportate con i prossimi kernel, ma, di fatto, questo kernel apre una nuova strada, quella della completa usabilità di Android anche su Pc.

Android Jelly Bean 5.0 in estate?

Dopo "poco" tempo dal rilascio di Android 4.0 ICS (intendo poco poiché ancora oggi è adottato su una scarsissima quantità di telefonini) già si pensa ad un nuovo OS Android, Jelly Bean che risulterebbe essere la versione 5.0.

Secondo il sito Taiwanese DigiTimes Android 5.0 dovrebbe essere rilasciato non prima del Q3 del 2012, ovvero non prima di Luglio. Periodo nel quale ci sono del presentazioni dei modelli di punta delle varie marche, come ad esempio, la fantomatica presentazione dell' iPhone 5. Google quindi potrebbe aspettare questa presentazione per poi, pochi giorni dopo, farne un' altra per rubare ad Apple la scena presentando qualcosa di innovativo e più efficiente.

Arrivato in Italia il nuovo iPad

Dopo un periodo più o meno lungo di attesa è pervenuto anche in Italia il nuovo iPad in vendita presso tutti i punti vendita autorizzati Apple, e con i gestori telefonici quali Vodafone e 3 Italia.

I prezzi sono leggermente inferiori rispetto a quelli dell' iPad2 e si aggirano intorno a 479€ per la versione Wifi da 16 GB; 579€ per quella da 32 GB; 679€ per quella da 64 GB. Le versioni Wifi + 4G partono da 599€ per 16 GB, 699€ per 32 GB e 799€ per quella da 64 GB.

Raggiunta quota 70000 applicazioni per Windows Phone Marketplace

Windows Phone Marketplace recentemente, come annunciato da Microsoft, ha raggiunto un' importante quota; le 70000 applicazioni appartenenti a vari generi quali tools, materiale videoludico, giochi e così via. Tutto questo evidenzia quanto lo store della Microsoft stia crescendo sempre più e stia raggiungendo traguardi importanti, già a gennaio contava 50000 apps.

Il numero degli sviluppatori sta crescendo notevolmente, si è infatti raggiunta, da come dichiarato, quota 18 mila.

Il 64% delle apps in questione è gratuita, mentre solo il 24% è a pagamento. Il restante 12% è in versione prova.

Apple is going to release the iPad Mini

Rumors say that Apple's going to louch a new type of iPad, the iPad mini with a Samsung retina display. Korea Times reported an official statement from Samsung on the subject. The name of the primary source has not been announced. The "mini" iPad could already be released before the end of 2012.

Titanium Backup now can support Box.net

On Google Play is avaiable a new release of Titanium Backup. The software arrives at 4.8.4 version with more features and integration with Box.net
Now is possible to save and synchronize our backup in Box.net storage service which offers about 50 GB free.
Here the new features:

• [PRO] Added support for syncing backups to Box (Box.net) cloud storage.
• [PRO] Added new “Auto-integrate sys Dalvik into ROM” option.
• Improved app freezer to be ICS-friendly by default. This resolves the problem where apps couldn’t be defrosted on Samsung ICS devices. The freezing method can be changed in Preferences -> Troubleshooting settings.

1 GB of Ram for the new iPad

Apple has recently released the "new iPad" and it has showed the new features without telling us how much Ram the new iPad has. The Verge says the new iPad has 1 GB of Ram: "Sources have informed us that the new iPad will be available with 1GB of RAM, double that of its predecessor".
So we can uderstand that the quantity of Ram installed in the new iPad is about 1024 MB, double respect the iPad 2.
We aren't sure of this, we'll still wait another few days.
